The Hessian's Ride - Maple Bourbon Coffee

The road through the Hollow is quiet tonight.

Too quiet.

Then, somewhere beyond the trees, comes the thunder of hooves.

Long before the Hollow feared the sound of hoofbeats, he was a Hessian soldier fighting on foreign soil during the American Revolution. Then came the cannonball. His head was taken in an instant, but death apparently wasn’t enough to end his service. Buried without it, the fallen mercenary rose again, mounting his black steed and riding through the darkness.

Out of the autumn fog he rides, racing beneath twisted branches and a cold harvest moon. Leaves scatter beneath his horse as he hunts the winding roads, searching for any soul foolish enough to linger after dark.

The Hessian’s Ride is a rich, haunting taste of fall made for crisp mornings, cold nights, and those moments when the shadows outside seem just a little too close.

Pour yourself a cup, settle in, and listen carefully.

Because once you hear the hoofbeats approaching, it may already be too late.
